Welcome to "The Gods Are Bored," where this strange bored deity has taken up residence about 200 yards from my house. I will entertain all thoughts on what this might be. I think its a Tiki, but I'm not terribly educated on South Pacific pantheons.
I do believe we can rule out "piece of unwanted postmodernist art."

knda sorta tiki looking..it's cool what ever it is..I'd build a little altar under it and leave bits of old jewelry and monopoly money to appease it if it's a god...or goddess

It looks like a tiki that would EAT you if your offering displeased it.
Perhaps someone found it, had a "Greg Brady" experience and then found it a new home...
I definately ditto Granny in that it looks like a deity who would not be happy unless left some offering.
It is definately cool though.

Who cares if it's a "real" Tiki! It's miraculous and cool that it just appeared in your back yard. Of course you should leave offerings for it. Who knows what being has decided to take up dwelling within? What fun!
