That's why religions that start out with the idea of universal love, end up criticizing the ingroup and hating the outgroup.kimchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14020798623317549440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-82613100619247091862009-12-13T18:18:26.543-05:002009-12-13T18:18:26.543-05:00Anne, you may enjoy this succinct summary of vario...Anne, you may enjoy this succinct summary of various religions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-59803194341009224932009-12-13T17:37:33.938-05:002009-12-13T17:37:33.938-05:00The religion I find most fascinating other than my...The religion I find most fascinating other than my own is Catholocism. No matter how many priests molest their children, no matter how far out of touch with reality and the modern world thier Pope becomes, hardcore Catholics, especially those who were "raised" Catholic, simply refuse to question their faith or give any credance whatsoever to any other alternate path. These I consider the most dangerous, as they will be those most likely to harm others based solely on the idea that Jesus accepts someone doing harm to another, as long as that other is not Catholic.

Oh, and being "raised Catholic", I have license.Alex Pendragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15877845166621794334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-36338292425940690362009-12-13T15:43:21.004-05:002009-12-13T15:43:21.004-05:00very interesting!

They borrow ideas, engage in inter and intra faith discussions. They invent and recycle dogmas. They wage wars and influence government. They get transplanted to other, disparate cultures in which they are re-engineered for a new language and divergent cultural identity.

While I won't go so far as assert that 'all religions ultimately believe the same thing,' as some do, I think it's questionable to delineate faiths categorically.

A better phrasing might be "What religious beliefs, other than your own, do you find most interesting," or somesuch.Thomashttp://www.badassbard.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-19920091546130786442009-12-13T14:20:43.117-05:002009-12-13T14:20:43.117-05:00i like my religion..dont wanna change..happy for a...i like my religion..dont wanna change..happy for anyone who has faith and is a good person..yellowdoggrannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14906624317290990109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-27157235262817808802009-12-13T13:52:07.551-05:002009-12-13T13:52:07.551-05:00"The religion I find most interesting apart f..."The religion I find most interesting apart from my own is yes."
