However, generalizing to the breed is no different than any other form of bigotry. Rhodesian Ridgebacks were bred to hunt lions with hunters, but the hunters did the killing. The ridgebacks' job was to corner the lions so the hunters could come in with guns and take the lions down. They are not a vicious breed. This doctor's behavior is very out of sync with his role as a physician, in my opinion. He is the menace here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-58507293264873988022011-05-21T12:38:24.062-04:002011-05-21T12:38:24.062-04:00There's a difference between kept women and wo...There's a difference between kept women and women who don't work outside the home (but do work very hard inside the home taking care of it and the children. And probably some volunteer work thrown in.)My mother never worked outside our home until all three of us kids graduated high school, but she worked hard -- and cheerfully. She loved being a housewife and mother. My real point is that our economy has been bad since the late seventies when it stopped being optional for most women to work outside the home: it SHOULD be easy to support a home and family on one income, allowing a person to stay home and take care of the home front if that's what she or he wants to do. Thank the Unions for allowing one or two generations to live that way. Too bad we let it go.kimchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14020798623317549440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-81884129204102346722011-05-18T21:48:23.142-04:002011-05-18T21:48:23.142-04:00Tell me again why you care about what other women ...Tell me again why you care about what other women are doing? I've heard people say that this or that dangerous breed make fine pets when they are properly trained, and yet, somehow, so many are not properly trained. (Full disclosure, I have a Humane Society dog, he is probably a black labrador, who thinks I am Queen of the Universe, and whose misbehavior involves conspiring with a child to sleep on the bed.)Anti Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14042959119861814086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12171673.post-13219807203647901372011-05-14T20:35:50.585-04:002011-05-14T20:35:50.585-04:00If the dogs had bitten that many times it was over...If the dogs had bitten that many times it was overdue for being put down.
