Thanksgiving 2013

Are you with me, my dear three readers? Are you home and snug with your families, avoiding those phony baloney Black Friday sales that are a SHAME TO OUR REPUBLIC?

If so, Happy Thanksgiving, our lovely secular holiday, and may all the bored deities known and unknown, stretching into the dawn of time, especially including the Native American deities, receive thanks from us for Their divine existences!

Enjoy the weekend, and remember ... it's turkey you want to eat, not turkey vulture.

Love,
Anne

Can I eat WITH a turkey vulture? Do they like watching football? Or Charlie Brown?

Yes, I was, and yes, I did! Down with stupid commercialism on ANY holiday, secular or otherwise!

Hope your Thanksgiving was lovely, Anne. :-)

Eating with turkey vultures might result in a shoving match, but it does sound like fun...

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Friday we went to the De Young Museum and saw a David Hockney exhibit and had a wonderful dinner at the cafe at the museum. We didn't buy anything but dinner. Saturday our ex-foster-daughter joined us unexpectedly and we all went to the Harvest Festival and did some shopping: all small businesses. Sunday, church(UU) and then a Messiah sing with a conductor who is very funny. All in all, a very homey but cultured holiday.
