Happy Black Friday Eve

Welcome to "The Gods Are Bored!" Just kidding about that headline.

America designates this day as one of giving thanks for the harvest. So, with big, broad, flexible outlook in hand, we at "The Gods Are Bored" want to wish you and yours a happy day.

As for me, Anne, I'm thankful for all the nice readers and new friends I've met through this site. If the price of gasoline doesn't go through the roof, I'm mulling a "blogger road trip" in which I'll come visit you and drink your beer. If you're willing, of course. (If you don't want to meet me, leave the beer on the porch.)

What is the weirdest food you'll eat today? To be polite I'll have to take a portion of my mother-in-law's sauerkraut and Polish sausage.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours today! Come drink with me anytime.

Son, DiL, and G/Son and I are going out tonight. It's not a holiday for me if I have to shop, cook, clean up, deal w/ leftovers, etc.

I think the weirdest thing I eat every thanksgiving is that weird cranberry sauce with the can rings on it...but it was made edible by the chocolate pie my granddaughter made..it had candy bars in it...how great is that..?????
plus the cowboys are kicking the shit out of the new york jets...hot dang...
next year buddha_girl and junebugg are supposed to come to West, by Goddess, Texas for the annual Westfest..you'd love it...all the kolaches and beer(pivo) you can handle...czech's love to eat and drink beer..you're more than welcome to come down and scarf and slurp...

I enjoyed a quite and peaceful day and a good meal with others. Got some hugs and thanks for being in others lives.

Drop in any time, I buy beer by the 30 pack. If you can stand light beer cuz I don't like the stronger stuff.

I hope gas hits ten bucks a gallon, maybe folks will take a different look at how they live and destroy this planet.

Na, I think that too many of them don't care as long as they can do what they want to do.

Black Friday, my Christmas shopping was done the day after Christmas last year. Meaning that I haven't and am not going to do any.

Well, I might buy Helen a couple of big candy bars being as she loves chocolate so much.

Other than that she is like me and wants nothing other than the basics or is in need of anything.

I hope that you had a good day. Hugs.

It was a hectic, but good day.

Anne, I'm tagging you for the 8 Things Meme.

You it's an instant meme where you simply write 8 random or interesting things about yourself, then tag 8 bloggers to do the same.

my mother-in-law's cranberry salsa was surprisingly good--not too sweet.

Come by -- here in Humboldt County we have incredible organic beers, all created locally. Lost Coast Brewery and Eel River come to mind.... hmmmm.. yummy!

Saurkraut and Polish sausage?! Oh Lady!! If only the Gods had seen fit to supply me with such glory... I'll trade you some left over pumpkin pie for some left over saurkraut. Mmmmm...
